Meet Our Visionary Founder
Kanyadaan India, started by Mr J.P. Yadhuvanshi, the pioneer of MyShaadiWale,who during the course of planning several weddings was deeply hurt by the stigma that surrounds marriages in the Indian Society – Specifically, Dowry. Indian Parents live their entire lives in adversity just so that they can accumulate “enough” dowry which is never actually enough.
Besides being declared as an offence under the Indian Law, Dowry also contaminates the thought process of the Youth and deviates them from the path of hard-work. It is a step towards fulfilling those dreams of parents and their daughters. Kanyadaan India works towards supporting these families by providing them financial and social support. We believe that every daughter has the right to get married with dignity. In order to stop all the crime against girls, we want to organize and help their family to get them married.
Our main objective is to cease all the torture that a girl has to bear due to lack of fund for her marriage. We want to protect such parents and daughters who face difficulty in raising funds for the marriage and go through ailments like: dowry, suicide etc.
We want to create a foundation that helps parents to get their girl married so that in India whenever a girl is born, she isn’t considered a burden. Kanyadaan the biggest sacrifice should be performed with dignity and happiness.
We want to set up kanyadaan india camps in several parts of the coutry so that brides from every corner can register and we can initiate more kanyadaaners from everywhere.
Our Initiatives
We focus on the following:
- Raise funds from the people and help in “kanyadaan” of a girl
- Have transparency in all the transaction of the organization.
- Stop the suicide of parents due to lack of fund for their daughter’s marriage
- Stop the killing of girls due to marriage expenses
- Provide funds to families who cannot afford to get their daughter married
- Provide the girl with mangal sutra and wedding attire
- Become a platform where they can register themselves or anyone ho cannot afford a wedding
- Spread awareness among people about the importance of kanyadaan and bring them together
- Motivate people to become a “kanyadaaner”
